Nine Months has come and gone...

So, two weeks ago Friday, E turned 9 months old.  I cannot believe how fast time flies.  We celebrated her 9 month milestone by going to the Pedi for her 9 month check-up.  It did not go as well as I was hoping for, but first, her 9 month stats:

Length: 28.0 in even, which is between percentile 50 and 75
Weight: 18.0 lbs even, which is between percentile 25 and 50
Head Circumference: 17.25 in, which is between percentile 25 and 50

So, we are hitting around the middle on the growth scale or maybe a little under.  Now, about her appointment...  At 9 months they have you fill out a survey to determine whether the little one is at risk for lead poisoning, since I work around lead and we rent, they needed to do a lead test, which means taking blood for the first time.  It was traumatic, mostly for me I think, and in the end they didn't get the blood they needed.  We had to go back on Monday to have the supervisor nurse try to take the blood again.  This time she got it on her second try.  The results came back the E is anemic, not really badly, but mildly.  She is supposed to have a hemoglobin count of 11 and hers is 9.8.  So, now we have to figure out why.  I actually have to take her to the hospital today to get more blood drawn to figure out why.  On a positive note, one of the tests the doctor had ordered for her blood that they got a week ago was for hereditary spherocytosis and it appears that E does not have spherocytosis, which is great news!

Some other fun news in the world of E, her Aunt Lisa came to visit last week and we spent the week having a blast.  We went to Disneyland and California Adventure, the beach, and had movie nights and just had a really good time entertaining Aunt Lisa for her spring break.

E is fearless as far as the world goes but has started to have separation anxiety and has started to get nervous around strangers.  She is still a big flirt.  Her favorite past times include climbing up on the dishwasher when I am loading or unloading and trying to jump on the dishwasher like a springboard.  She also loves when we help her walk.  Adam is predicting that she'll be walking before 1 year, and I think he might be right...  As he always is.

And now the moment you have all been waiting for, a month in review (via photos):

E is now pretty much eating what we are eating.  Here she is eating baked beans and a crescent roll.

She loves getting packages from Nana, and Nana sent a box full of new fun clothes and toys.

E is a lot like her father... She loves the sunshine... Good thing we live in California!

She loves standing and jumping in her crib and had discovered a new food group... Wood!

She loves to help her Mama cook

Daddy's little girl still likes to snuggle to sleep

We went swimming at the YMCA for the first time and E really loved it

She still loves to get out and swing at the park

One of her baby friends bought her a yummy broccoli friend, which E adores

The best way to travel...  At In and Out with Aunt Lisa

Ready to visit the happiest place on earth

E loved the Ferris wheel, especially when we got to go down!

No Mickey hat's fit yet, we are hoping they'll fit when we go for our first "official" time in October.

E loved to wave in the teacup...  Sadly, she hasn't really waved again since.

Standing to play with her hanging toys Daddy hanged just for her

First time in the sand, she loved it!

What a cute beach baby...

Standing and bouncing on the dishwasher this morning.

All in all it has been a great month!
