11 Months come and gone...

E turned 11 months one week ago today!  We celebrated by flying to Michigan to visit with Gma and Gpa, going camping for a family wedding, going to the zoo with Nanna, and The Henry Ford with Gma and Gpa.  So, in the short 7 days we were gone we were very, very busy.

The month has also been eventful with more doctors appointments and blood draws.  We have a diagnosis... E has hereditary spherocytosis (HS), the same as her father.  Each one of our children has a 50/50 percent chance of inheriting this disorder.  We believe this is why E was so jaundice when when was born.  Almost all HS babies have severe jaundice and have to be under billi-lights for multiple days.  The good news is we were pretty much expecting it and are now prepared to deal with it.  The most important part is recognizing that she'll always present signs of anemia when blood work is done, but in fact she doesn't truly have anemia, it's just how HS presents itself.

We have more teeth.  In between 10-11 months we got 2 more teeth, bringing the grand total to 7 teeth.  She got a 3rd tooth on the bottom and her first upper molar on the left side came in.  While we were at Gma's she started teething two more teeth bringing our grand total tooth count to 10!  She's getting another lower molar and her canine on the left side in.

We are also very, very close to walking.  I think she'll take her first unassisted steps any day now.

Here are some pictures from our fun this past month:

Playing at the park after having some more blood drawn.  E loves playing on the play equipment.

Playing with Daddy in the backyard

On her 11 month bday before we leave for the airport (yes, she was loving some blueberries and gone one stuck in her teeth so Adam had to take a picture)

She loved running the "Miller 500" as we called it just crawling in circles around Gma's house

Camping in Indiana for my Cousin Josh's wedding

E wanted to let us all take naps and drive the first shift with the trailer back to Michigan! :)

Our annual visit to Meijer must be documented.  Yup, E loves eating whole apples while we I get some grocery shopping done and grocery shopping with Gma is no different.

At the Toledo Zoo with Nanna, Aunt Eileen, and Uncle Brian

We have a busy month ahead planning for E's first birthday.  We are not going all out, just a small celebratory BBQ at our house.  We hope to see all our local friends there.
